Application of the Pareto Principle in Hackathon
The main inspiration for writing this post, and exploring more about the Pareto Principle was the reel of a famous Instagram influencer which I saw lately, who was putting a real-life example into the Pareto Principle. I thought we could also put this thing into the hackathon.

For those who are not much aware of the Pareto Principle, it is a simple rule of thumb that “20% of effort brings in 80% of the result”, which I find accurate, whenever I put this principle into practice.

So how can you use Pareto Principle in your hackathon ideas?
Well, there are many aspects of a hackathon where we can implement this principle. We can either use it on our ideation, or we can improve the User Experience (UX), such that 20% of that effort brings 80% of satisfaction (Results).
But in my personal opinion, having a great pitch deck, or a strong presentation will not only increase your chances of winning the hackathon, but you can actually create a lasting impression on the people who are there listening to your presentation.
So try to level up your game by giving a good presentation, and try to keep it brief, yet touching all the pain points that you are intended to actually address in your presentation.
I really hope you find this article very helpful, and I am really sure that you will implement this principle when you are going to the upcoming hackathons.
Do share it with your teammates and your fellow participants. Danke.
